1st Asian University Championship: Day Two 04 May 2016 | in Boxing

Dushanbe, Tajikistan - 4th May might be a hard day for both boxers and judges, because 15 matches were performed from 15: 00 - 21: 00 in the competition venue of Sports Complex of 20th Year Anniversary of Independence. Yuttapong TONGDEE from Thailand and Ertuhan ZEINULINOV from Kazakhstan started the first match, with Ertuhan winning the match with 3:0.

The fight between Norovbal OTGONTUMUR from Mongolia and Salim ISMANKULOV from Turkmenistan was really fast -- within 1 minute. At the beginning, Norovbal was very active and hit his opponents with 2 punches on the head. Salim fell on the floor and did not make it within the countdown. Then the judge ended the match and credited the winning to Norovbal.

The fight between Thiwa JANTHACUMPA from Thailand and Yuta AKIYAMA from Japan was also attractive. At the beginning, Thiwa was more active and moved faster. At the second round, Yuta caught up and made the score equal. The third round was an equal bout, which made the match interesting and made the judges in a dilemma. After the end of the match, one judge said that Thiwa was stronger and two judges said that Yuta was stronger. The winner went to Yuta AKIYAMA.

The third session will continue on 5th May, to be lively broadcasted by Tajikistan National TV Station.
