AUSF Executive Committee Meeting - Day One 23 May 2015 | in Executive Committee Meeting

Ulaanbaatar - From 23rd to 24th May, AUSF Executive Committee (EC) would have the first meeting in 2015. This was the first time for AUSF EC to have its board meeting in Mongolia, and the second time in Central Asia. Besides 11 AUSF EC members, FISU 1st Vice President Oleg Matytsin, EUSA President Adam Roczek, FISU Assessor Chen Tai Cheng, AUSF Honorary President Chung Tong Gu and AUSC Secretary General HJ Mohmad Mohd Hanif were present as well.


In the morning, the participants were divided into two groups. The Group one composed of the Constitution review group had its pre-meeting to discuss the proposals on AUSF Constitution Amendment. After last General Assembly in Qingdao and EC meeting in Chinese Taipei, it was approved to set up a Task Force to review AUSF Constitution. The task force would make the report to the EC meeting as scheduled.

Group tow composed of the remaining EC members, FISU and EUSA guests and the future OCs were invited to attend the Awarding Ceremony of Mongolian National University Games.
In the afternoon, the first session of EC meetings started. Mad. Erdenechimeg B., the Director Department of Ministry of Health and Sport was present the Opening Session and delivered a welcome speech. Also Mr. Jargalsalkhan D., the Secretary General of Mongolian Student Sports Federation, Oleg Matytsin, Adam Roczek and Chung Tong Gu were invited to deliver a speech. In the following, the board members listened to the report from Secretary General, Treasurer, Sub-regional Chairs and the Education Committee.

In his report, Secretary General Kenny Chow reported the jobs done since last EC meeting, including the visit to Indonesia for the 17th ASEAN University Games, and the proposed affiliation of the Afghanistan. During the ASEAN University Games, he met with the delegates from Myanmar, Laos and Timor leste and gave the guidance on how to join FISU and AUSF.

Due to the absent of Treasurer Seetow Cheng Fave, Auditor Ha Woong Yong made the report on behalf of Treasurer. He shared the current financial situation of AUSF and introduced the latest  FISU Financial Guideline on Continental Federations.
In the sub-regional chairs, it was shared the activities organized and to be organized in each sub-regions.
In the report of Education Committee, Chen Kunning, as the Chair of Education Committee, introduced the objectives and plan of Education Committee. To fulfill the duty of Education Committee, AUSF Education and Development Center was established in Beijing, China. The board member of the Center had its first meeting this March in Beijing. Dr. Chen also introduced the meeting achievements to the EC members.
Tomorrow, the EC members will meet for the whole day to listen to the progress report of AUSF events 2015 and the bidding reports of Events 2016. AUSF will have its first bidding in the event of Basketball between Chinese Taipei and Mongolia. Both of them have hosted AUSF and FISU events several times. It was quite an exciting and encouraging moment for AUSF.
