2nd Asian University Futsal Championship: Day 3 25 Apr 2016 | in Futsal

Almaty, Kazakhstan –After the fierce competition yesterday, the teams played much more lively and actively and presented 4 magnificent matches.

The match between Tajikistan and Mongolia opened the day. The first goal was shot out by Tajikistan unexpectedly into the corner of the Mongolian gate in just 5 minutes since the game started. However, the Mongolian boys also fought very hard and just 3 minutes later, they broke their opponent’s defense and bring the score as 1:1. The competition was Tajikistan team continued to demonstrate their strong will to win and made another 3 more goals, while Mongolia only got one more. Therefore, Tajikistan won the match at 4:2.

The game between Kazakhstan national team and Chinese team was the most eye-catching one. China lost the match yesterday, therefore only winning this one could help China to reach a good ranking for the semifinal. But Kazakhstan were eager to realize no losing in the preliminary round and would not so that they can be number one in the group. At the beginning, both Kazakhstan and Chinese team fought very bravely and presented lots of attempt shoots, however, the defense line of both teams were also strong and the goal keepers did really good job. At the 19th minute, Kazakhstan team managed to cut through the Chinese strong guards and kicked the ball in. Audiences all raised and cheered for the hard-earned goal. In face of this disadvantage situation, Chinese team didn’t lose their faith and tried best to bring a goal back, but they were out of luck as most of the attempt shooting hit on the pillars. Kazakhstan made another 2 goals in the second half and secured the victory at 3:0.

The next game was between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan was totally in the attack mode. The strongest and most tactful player in Turkmenistan was No.8 Evgeny Doroginsky, who contributed 3 goals for his team, which meant he scored the very first hat-trick in the championship.   Turkmenistan then took advantage of his rival’s weak defense and managed to score 2 goals soon. However, Kyrgyzstan revenged even more badly and presented another 5 magnificent shooting, and hold the victory at 8:3.  

The last game of the day was between Kazakhstan Dostyc University team and Iran team. Iran was the defending champion and was absolutely quicker and stronger than the opponent. They got 5 goals in just 10 minutes by the magic surpassing skills and precise shooting, and didn’t waste any chance. Until the 38th minute, Kazakhstan university team managed to earn one goal, but Iranians added another 2 goals, all by Danial Givili. At the last minute Dostyc University team has been granted with a penalty kick, but didn’t manage to get in. The match ended by the score 1:7 in favor of Iran team.

Now the Preliminary Round came to an end and the 8 teams will encounter new challenges in the semi-finals. Wish them good luck!
