Dushanbe, Tajikistan - on 5th May, 8 matches started from 15: 00 - 17: 00 in the competition venue of Sports Complex of 20th Year Anniversary of Independence. The venue was full again. Nearly 2000 audience cheered when Shuhrat SABZALIEV from Tajikistan entering the court. His opponent was Saken BIBOSINOV from Kazakhstan, who was good at medium-distance punch. But Shuhrat was shorter than Saken and this advantage gave him the chance to fight closer and made Saken no chance to give his medium-distance attack. Both of the boxer were active and moved actively. Finally, Shuhrat SABZALIEV won and he was the first boxer from Tajikistan team qualified for the semi-final.
Another attractive match was in 52kg category, between Subaru MURATA from Japan and Anvar MUZAPAROV from Kazakhstan. It was very difficult for judge to make the decision. Finally, Japan lost. The judge gave 2 higher scores to KAZ boxer.
In the fight for semi-final qualification, all the boxers tried very hard and most of them had same level of boxing skills. It was very difficult for the judges to make the final decision.
The competition is becoming more and more intensive and it will continued at 15:00 on 6th May.
