Last day of 2015, with 1st Intensive Training Program still on going 31 Dec 2015 | in Intensive Training Program

Cheonan, Korea - Dec. 31st, was the last day of 2015 and participants of the 1st Intensive Training Program for Asian University Sport Leaders continued for their classes in the morning on Dankook University Cheonan Campus.

The first class started at 9:00 sharp and Ms. Laura YAN, General Coordinator from AUSF Secretariat gave a lecture on "AUSF Regulations". In fact, every AUSF championship has a work plan and should follow the internal regulations. The first objective of AUSF is to promote and develop in youth of Asia the physical and moral qualities. In her speech, Laura shared practical experiences on how to host a championship, what possible issues(security, medical, visa, etc.) the local OC may come across, and who are the real VIPs in AUSF events. In the end she also showed pictures of AUSF Secretariat new office in Beijing. The audiences listened carefully to her speech and some participants showed great interest in hosting a AUSF championship in their own country.

Mr. CHEN Kunning, Vice President of AUSF gave a 2-hour lecture that day too. In his speech "Professional Competence of Administrative", he mainly talked about organization operating management capacity, administrative business integration capability and personnel development. Training is the process to promote and enhance the skill, and personnel must understand transform into different roles in different situations.

In the following, Mr. SEETOW Cheng Fave, AUSF Treasure, gave his lecture on Planning International Events of AUSF. To hold a successful international event, the future Organizing Committee needs observations from the past, as well as good management of logistics, accommodations, accreditations, sponsorship, voluntary work, etc. In his lecture, Mr. SEETOW asked the audience to share their own experience in hosting a championship or participating one, which made good interactions with the audience.

On the last night of 2015, for most participants, it was their first time to spend the new year's eve in a foreign country. For that reason, the OC considerately held a party for the new year in the dormitory activity room. The party started at 23:30, participants, AUSF delegates, local OC staffs and volunteers celebrated the festival and counted down together for 2016. Though they come from different parts of Asia, believe in different religions and even may not be in the same color, they are fulfilling the goal of AUSF: bringing together Asian students and sports leaders, activating university sports, and promoting friendship and better understanding among Asian countries or regions.

Happy new year!
