Last day of the 1st Intensive Training Program 05 Jan 2016 | in Intensive Training Program

Cheonan, Korea - Jan. 5th, 2016 was the last day of 1st Intensive Training Program for Asian University Sport Leaders. In the morning, the program started with lecture from Dr. Yong-Chul Chung, a faculty member of Sogang University. In his 2-hour lecture ‘Mental Control,’ Dr. Chung delivered his ideas and experiences about a brief history of sport psychology, concepts of applied sport psychology, and mental control during competition in sport. In addition, He emphasized three roles of mental control which are education, counseling/consulting, and field work, showing real examples in sport scenes. Later, Dr. Chung continued his lecture mentioning about five key elements and effective goal setting principles of mental control. After his lecture, a few students raised questions that they had as field practitioners and Q and A session continued for a couple of minutes.

The second session of the day was ‘Comprehensive discussion and review.’ In this session, groups of students made their speech by country and region about the feelings and gave their feedback to the Organizing Committee. In that part, participants were able to share their thought and experiences they got from the program.

Right after the second session, the Closing Ceremony began with a 10-minutes video clip in which participants' journey of the program was highlighted. Student representative Choi Ki Wong from Hong Kong, China made a thank you speech. In the following, Mr. Ho-Sung CHANG, t AUSF Vice President, also the President of Dankook University gave his encouragement remarks to the audience. He said, it was the first trial for AUSF to host an intensive training program and thanked all the participants for staying in Korea for 2 years. He wished everybody a happy new year and those from foreign countries and regions a safe trip home.

Mr. HA Woong Yong, AUSF auditor, made a speech to give his thanks to Dankook University, AUSF members and volunteers for their hard work and to the participants who support AUSF events. In the following, a total of 30 participants from 11 countries and regions received the certificate from Mr. Ho-Sung CHANG.

The Closing Ceremony ended in the anthem of AUSF and with the lowering of AUSF flag. Afterward, all the participants, special guests, OC members and volunteers had a photo time to remember and cherish the moment. The satisfaction was over expectation and the participants went home with friendship and a strong human network.
