After that, the participants visited Shenyang Imperial Palace. Shenyang was ever the capital city of Qing Dynasty, before the Qing Emperor moved to Beijing. It is one of the most ancient imperial architectural complexes of great historical and artistic value. The palace was first built in 1625 by Nurhachi (1559-1626), the Manchu chieftain who became the first king of the Jin State (established 1616), and excessively extended by Huangtaiji (1592-1643), his son and successor before they brought all China under their rule and established the Qing Dynasty. It includes three sections-the eastern section, the middle section and the western section. Each section boasts of unique characteristics. Student players were curious about the place and the history behind it. Because the Empresses of two Generation and some Concubines were from Horqin Prairies, which was part of Mongolia in ancient time. Mongolian students were quite interested and happy to visit the Palace. Shagdarjav Unurmaa, a student player from Mongolia found ancient Mongolian language on the relics and felt intimate. “I learn a lot and get a better understanding of China as well as our own history in Shenyang, and most important of all, I made lots of friends here." she said excitedly.

During lunch time, all the participants had a taste of traditional Shenyang cuisine -- the famous Shenyang dumplings. "It is the best Chinese Dumplings I ever had, thank you Shenyang!" said Iran player, Torabi Mohammad.
