Taebaek, Korea - Sep. 3^rd continued with group matches. After two-day competition, Iran from Pool A and Korea A from Pool B won the tickets to semi-finals. While, teams from the other groups would fight out today in the rain.

Malaysia vs. Korea B

The first match started from 10:00 between Malaysia and Korea B. The game was quite eye-catching and breath-taking. In the first two-day, Iran beat Malaysia with 1: 0 and beat Korea B with 3: 2. Therefore, it was expected that Malaysia were at the similar level. Fortunately, player No.9 from Korea B kicked in the first ball of the day just 10 minutes after the start of the match. Although Malaysia fought harder and challenged the Korean goalkeeper for several times, it did not catch up the step of Korea B team, who won a penalty kick in the last minute of the first half, ending the first half with 2: 0. In the second half, Player No. 18 from Korea B kicked in the third ball after 8 minutes. After that, Player No. 13 from Korea B got a red card, which gave a chance to Malaysia team. Unfortunately, Malaysia did not run cross the defense of Korea B. Finally, the matches ended by 3:0.

Hong Kong, China vs. Korea C

Asian University Football Championship is the highest-level of international football event that Hong Kong, China ever participated, and the team fought very hard in every match. Unfortunately, its opponents, Korea A and Korea C were too strong. Although Hong Kong team had no chance to score any goal, it was more beneficial to compete with strong teams. In the next few days, Hong Kong Team will fight for position matches from 9-12. Good luck to them.

Oman vs. Myanmar

Before the match, the head of Myanmar team joked that "today Myanmar will fight for China". China as the seed, was grouped with Oman and Myanmar. China tied the match with Oman and beat Myanmar with 1: 0. This match will decide China and Oman who will be qualified. Since the start, Oman team well organized its offence and defense and shot in 3 balls in the first half. In the second half, Myanmar fought very hard and seized the opportunity to catch up by 2:3, which gave a lot of pressure to Oman team who played tougher. Under the pressure, Oman team fouled and gave Myanmar a chance of a direct free kick. Unfortunately, Myanmar lost the chance and did not kick in. If Myanmar can keep this result, China will still have the chance to be qualified. Oman team might be also aware that. Finally, Play No. 6 of Oman team seized a chance to score a decisive goal for his team and put Oman into the semi-finals. The whole team of Oman cheered and hugged to celebrate their victory.

Japan B vs. Chinese Taipei

Japan's football skill is very competitive and about 70-80% players from university teams will be elected to the national team. Therefore, it was not a surprise that Japan A won Chinese Taipei by 6:0 on Sep. 2^nd.

Japan B moved very fast and challenged the goat keeper of Chinese Taipei with several shots since the start. While Chinese Taipei defended tightly and gave them no chance to score. However, the situation changed sharply after Japan B shot in the first ball and kept the leading until the first half ended with 5:0. To won the ticket of semi-final, Japan B broke the record of Japan A and ended the match by 8:0.

The Semi-Final will begin on Sep. 5^th, starting with the match between Iran and Korea A.
