Taebaek city, Korea - on 5th Sep, it was the fourth competition day and the first day for semi-finals. Six matches were played.
Iran vs. Korea A
Iran and Korea A, as the seeds in Pool A and B, were the first 2 teams qualified for the semi-finals. As expected, they were 2 of the most strong teams present at this Championship. The match between them was quite competitive and attractive. In the first half, Iran took the leading by scoring one goal, which gave much pressure to its opponents. Therefore, in the second half, Korea A enhanced the team organization and played half, tentatively tying the match in the 25th minute. The die was kept until the 90th minutes. In the injury time, Iran scored the second goal and thought they could keep the leading till the end the match. The relaxation of Iran team gave some chance to Korea A, who had a second goal just 43 seconds after Iran scored. The match ended with 2:2. The draw sent the match into a penalty shot-out, which Iran won by 4:3. Iran will compete with Japan B for the Champion.
Oman vs. Japan B
The match started at 13: 00, with Oman controlling the ball. After 10 minutes, Oman took the leading by scoring the first goal. In the 25th minute, Japan tied the name. The first half ended by 1:1. After 12 minutes of the second half, Japan scored the second goal. In the following, Oman scored the second goal, tying the match again. After 90 minutes, there were 2 injury-minute. In the second injury minute, Japan B scored the third goal, which was the winning goal. The victory sent Japan B to the final.
China vs. Japan A
In the first half, China kept up the defensive formation quite well and conceded only one goal in a scramble at the gate. During the second half, Japan A substituted several players and put more pressure on the offense. The defense of China began fell apart and lost 3 goals consecutively. The match ended by 0:4.
Malaysia vs. Hong Kong, China
Malaysia and Hong Kong, as the third teams in Pool A and Pool B, met each other. In the first half, Malaysia was more active and took the leading, by scoring one goal. At the 85th minute, Hong Kong scored one goal and tied the match. After that, Hong Kong strengthened the defensive and kept the tie till the end by 1:1, which sent the match to the penalty shot-out. Finally, Hong Kong won by 3:1.
