Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – the Awarding Ceremony started right after the final match between Mongolia and Chinese Taipei on Sep. 24th. AUSF Assessor Jargalsaikhan Dorjsuren, who is also Secretary General of Mongolian Student Sports Federation, presented the Bronze medals to China. AUSF Delegate Ha Woong Yong presented the Silver medals to Chinese Taipei.
In the following, 6 players were awarded for their excellence and contribution to the teams: Zheng Yi from China, Best Center; Tsai Chou Kwan from Hong Kong, China, Best Shooting Guard; Huang Tsang-Chun from Chinese Taipei, Best Forward; Lee Kai Yan from Chinese Taipei, Best Point Guard; Temuujin Ariunbold from Mongolia, Best Forward. The MVP went to Dulguun Enkhbat, who was also from Mongolia.
In the end, the Champion of the 6th Asian University Basketball Championship-Mongolia walked into the stage. President of the Organizing Committee, Erdenee Sodnomzundui, who is also the President of Mongolian National Basketball Association, awarded the medals to the players, together with the AUSF Technical Delegate Lei Si Man who is also the Professor of University of Macau. After taking group pictures, all the winning players turned right and watched their national flags rising solemnly in the anthem of AUSF.
Closing Ceremony
Mr. Ha Woong Yong made a speech on behalf of AUSF. He firstly congratulated on the success of 6th Asian University Men's Basketball Championship and stressed the meaning of this event that university students could communicate and learn from each other.
In his closing speech, Mr. Erdenee Sodnomzundui sincerely thanked all teams for taking part in this magnificent event. He congratulated the winning teams and expressed thanks to the OC members, the working staff and all the volunteers. In the following, he declared the closing of 6th Asian University Men's Basketball Championship. The event officially ended with AUSF flag lowering slowly in AUSF anthem.
