Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - A new book “University sports and Universiade” celebration and presentation was held in 16 Jan 2014 at the Central sports palace in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Author of this book is Mr. Jargalsaikhan D.- Secretary General NUSF Mongolia and CIC Member of FISU. Managing Editor of the book is Mr. Bayasgalan D.-Treasurer of FISU and President of NUSF Mongolia. Dr. Jargalsaikhan reported “University Sports and Universiade” book has been a tremendous task, as it is the very first book on such a topic in Mongolia”.

During the presenation of the book, special guests were invited to give short remarks including Mr. Tumenjargal M. - Vice Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Mongolia, Mr. Erkhembulgan- Director of High Education Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, Mr. Bayasgalan D. - Treasurer of FISU and President of NUSF Mongolia, Mr. Batsaikhan Kh. – President of Mongolian Student Union, Board members NUSF Mongolia. Also present were President and Secretary General some National sports federation, Head of sports Department and teachers more than 20 university in Ulaanbaatar, coaches and athletes. Most notable among 70 guests were former Universiade athlete and gold medalist Universiade games 1973 Mr. Natsagdorj Ts. ( Wrestling), Mr. Z. Oidov in 1977 (Wrestling), Mrs. Bundmaa M. in Judo, 2007.

“University sports and Universiade” book comprises of 4 different chapter.
1. First chapter covers “World university history” since 1905-2013,
2. Second chapter is dedicated for “International University Sports Federation” since 1949-2013,
3. Third chapter focuses on “Summer and Winter Universiade history” since 1959-2013
4. Fourth chapter shed light on the “Asian University Sports federation and sports event” since 1992-2013.

“University sports and Universiade” book was printed on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of FISU ( 1949), 55th anniversary of first Summer Universiade (1959) and 25th anniversary of NUSF Mongolia (1989). This book will play a key role on our objective to develop and further increase the “Universiade Education” knowledge and awareness.
To the this event attended 30 sports reports and journalists central press organization Mongolia and TV broadcasting, radio, newspaper. Secretary general Sports Press Union Mongolia Mrs. Badamgarav said “ This book was brand new and first book of 2014 Mongolia” .
