Almaty - on 30th January, AUSF Executive Committee met in Almaty on the Occasion of 28th Winter Universiade. Leonz Eder, FISU 1st Vice President and CDSU Chair, Martin Doulton, President of FISU-Oceania, Laurent Briel, Director of FISU CDSU were invited to the meeting.

This was the first meeting since the new board was elected during the General Assembly held last November in Xiamen, China. Therefore, the meeting was not only focusing on the key issues which were fully related to the development of AUSF and Asian university sports, but also a meeting to make up the previous information for newly elected members.

At the end of the meeting, President XUE Yanqing was awarded with the "Honorary Professor" of Kazak Academy of Sports and Tourism by its President Kairat Zakiryanov.
The Executive Committee will meet on 21st August 2017 during the Taipei Summer Universiade.
