Nilai, Malaysia - on 14th April, the Elimination session of individual matches for both Recurve bow and Compound bow started. Comparing with the previous day, it was quite windy and sunny. It was very hot outside. The Archers and supportive working teams seem used to weather of this kind, still playing and working hard.
For Recurve bow, 5 ends of 3 arrows will be played within 2 minutes. In the Qualification Round, Chinese Taipei dominated the top 3 places in both men and women. In the Elimination session, the archers who first won 6 scores would be qualified for next round. The competition went fiercely, with the Chinese Taipei taking the lead from the beginning.
The most competitive matches of women Recurve were the ones between ZHANG Lu (CHN) and other women archer, because she ranked four in women Recurve who had the possibility to catch up with archers from Chinese Taipei. One was with SHANAYA Rose Danla (PHI). ZhANG Lu won 4 scores from the start. It was thought that the match would end, but the Danla caught up and made the match a tie, which gave ZHANG Lu some pressure, who overcame it and won another important score, entering to next round. The other one was between ZHANG Lu and Chia Mao PENG (TPE), which was the Bronze medal matches. Finally, ZHANG Lu lost to Peng with a little difference.

After this session, the Bronze medal went to the following archers:
Recuve Men: Shih-Cheng Peng (TPE)
Recurve Women: Chia-Mao Peng (TPE)
Compound Men: Han Teng Ang (SGP)
Compound Women: Yi-Hsuan Chen (TPE)
Finally, the following archers entered into the Finals to be held on 16th April, the last day of the Championship.
Recurve Men: Chun-Heng Wei(TPE) vs Wei-Min Luo(TPE)
Recurve Women: Chien-Ying Le(TPE) vs Chien-Ying Le(TPE)
Compound Men: Che-Wei Lin(TPE) vs Hsiang-Hsuan Chen(TPE)
Compound Women: Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Salleh (MAS) vs Ting-Hsuan Lee(TPE)
