Lingwu, China- 22nd Sep. was the last day of the Preliminary round, with four matches played. 3 matches from Group A and 1 match from Group B, that is, Mongolia vs. Malaysia in Group A, New Caledonia vs. Kyrgyzstan in Group A, Chinese Taipei vs. Oman in Group A, Iran vs. Kazakhstan in Group B. For the 8 teams, Oman was qualified for the semi-finals for sure, but the result of match with Chinese Taipei would decide against whom it would play from Group B in the semi-finals. So was the match between Iran and Kazakhstan, both of whom were also sure for the qualification.

The match between Mongolia and Malaysia seemed no suspense. Mongolia team took the leading from the very beginning, whose tight defense left no opportunity to Malaysia team. Although Malaysia team found a few chances to shoot, they did not make it. Finally, the match ended by 7:0.

The match between New Caledonia and Kyrgyzstan started at 14:00. 4 players from Kyrgyzstan team received the red card in the previous match, therefore, there were only 7 players on the pitch, which made the match very tough for the Kyrgyzstan. At the 3', New Caledonia scored the first ball. In return, Kyrgyzstan shocked the audience by scored 2 balls within 1 minute at around 10'. At the start of second half, the New Caledonia kicked into the second ball and tied the march. At 24', New Caledonia kicked another ball, which aroused the strong feeling of Kyrgyzstan team to fight back, who caught up immediately at 25'. When New Caledonia kicked in the fourth ball at 27', Kyrgyzstan seemed to be too nervous to control the pace, starting to make fouls. At 31', both of the 2 teams kicked in one ball, but it was still the New Caledonia team who took the lead. With the strong willing to win, Kyrgyzstan team started to play the power play and caught up by kicking in one ball in 33'. The match tied again. With 7 minutes remaining, both the teams speeded up the intensive attacks. Due to the lack of substitutes, the Kyrgyzstan players on the field needs more strength and endurance to fight again their opponent. With 1'36'' remaining, Isabekov Azat, No. 7 from Kyrgyzstan received a red card, which made the situation worse and more unfavorable. While, the New Caledonia team tried to grasp the opportunities to shoot, but they did not make it. Finally, the match ended by 5:5. It was one of the most remarkable matches in the preliminary round, which made the audience feel like on the roller coaster.

The match between Chinese Taipei and Oman was as expected. Oman team was stronger, but Chinese Taipei never gave up and player very hard. Finally, the match ended by 3:12 with Oman winning. The match could be downloaded from the following link.

The match between Iran and Kazakhstan was surely one of the most wonderful matches. Both of the two teams were very aggressive, which made the atmosphere was very explosive. At the 5', both of the teams received one red card, with 4 players from each team on the pitch, because of the bad manner. But the red card didn't stop the fast pace of the match. At 7', Iran got a free kick, but Kazakhstan's smart blocking did not give his opponent to score the goal. At 14'20'', Kordmashhadikolaei Mohmmadreza, No. 9 from Iran team kicked in the first ball via a direct shot. In return, Alin Assylzhan No. 23 from Kazakhstan fought back after 20 seconds and tied the match by 1:1. From 15'30'', Kazakhstan team started to play the power play, in the hope to kick in one more. But Iran got a chance to shoot as 3 minutes left in the first half. The first half ended by 2:1. The tie was not broken until the 26'30''. The Kazakhstan team continued to play the power play again. This tactic worked. Kazakhstan team scored the second goal at 29'. No. The goal keeper of Kazakhstan team was very excellent, deflecting the balls and saving 2, when Iran team gave a very tight attack with 20 seconds. When the audience thought the match would end by tie, Iran made a sudden attack and scored one more goal with 17 seconds left. Finally, the match ended by 3:2. On 23rd Sep., the Workshop on futsal & Cheerleading will be held. In the afternoon, a city tour will be arranged for the participants to know more on the Chinese Culture and the local city. On 24th Sep., the semi-final will start.
