On behalf of AUSF, Mr. TSENG Ching-Yu firstly welcomed and thanked all teams for their participation. He mentioned that 2017 Asian-Pacific University Futsal & Cheerleading Championship was the first joint program of AUSF and Oceania University Sports Association. It is also the first time for AUSF to have the Workshop during championships, aiming to offer a chance for coaches and team officials to communicate and share experiences with each other. He hoped that all the teams could take this opportunity to communicate with each other and share their experiences.

This workshop was mainly on the discussion of the combination of futsal and cheerleading and the teams' comments on the combination. This initiative was launched by China, based on its National University Futsal and Cheerleading championship final. The mode was tested in China for 5 years, which made a positive effect, not only by making the competition more attractive, but also having the futsal players discipline themselves during the competition. A video clip of China University Futsal and Cheerleading Championship Final was shown to all the participants. Regarding the combination of the 2 events, the teams had a positive view. Like the head of New Caledonia said, it is a great idea and he would take the mode back to their national competition. Also, some of the officials gave very practical suggestion on the combination. Like the head of Malaysia team said, the specific regulations should be made more clearly and exactly, because the combination made both of the futsal and cheerleading competition different from the original futsal or cheerleading championship, in the hope to reduce the conflicts caused via the combination. Like the pre-match warm-up, the sharing of the court, when to call the time-out, etc. Anyway, all the parties showed their willingness and wisdom to perfect the combination.

After the experiences and feedback sharing, the futsal teams and cheerleading teams organized their own meeting separately, in which the topic was more focused on each individual sport. The workshop ended productively and fruitfully.

On the afternoon, the local organization committee arranged a city-tour for all the participating teams. The teams were arranged to visit the Baijitan National Reserve where they saw how to grow the plants in the desert during last 10 years, resisting and fixing sands. The Lingwu city has 2 specialities, jujube and cashmere. The participating teams visited the Jujube garden, tasting the sweet jujube and also visited the cashmere factories, gaining the knowledge of the history of cashmere and how it was produced. From the pictures, it would be seen how the participants enjoyed the city-tour.

In the evening, a friendship match between Asian Pacific Team (APT) and the local Organizing Committee team was hosted. The APT was composed of the heads of each delegation, the head coaches, etc. Through this match, the friendship between different teams were strengthened more. At that moment, they were not from different countries or regions. They became the teammates. It was a wonderful rest day, enjoyable and pleasurable.
