Macau, China - AUSF Steering Committee meeting was held on Nov. 28th, where the 2nd Asian University 3x3 Basketball Championship was held here in 2016. AUSF President Xue Yanqing, Senior Vice President Omar. Al Hai, Vice President Tseng Ching-Yu, Vice Secretary General Shen Zhen and Treasurer Seetow Cheng Fave attended the meeting.
As 2017 is going to the end and 2018 is coming, an important part of the meeting was to finalize the calendar of 2018, including 4th Asian University Football Championship (AUSF Cup) in China in October, 4th Asian University 3x3 Basketball Championship in Malaysia in July and 10th AUSF General Assembly and 2nd edition of FISU-CUSF Strategic Dialogue in Malaysia in October.
In his report, Vice Secretary General reported the main jobs done after Taipei EC meeting, including the supervision of 2017 Asia-Pacific University Futsal & Cheerleading Championship, preparation of AUSF Cup 2018, submission of AUSF projects 2018 to FISU, etc. In Treasurer's report, Seetow Cheng Fave reported the expenditures in 2017 and budget 2018. Also, the sub-committee Chairs also reported their jobs done in the past and to be done in the future.
Also it was time to issue the AUSF Yearly Magazine 2017 edition. The call for relevant material would be officially open soon. It was welcome that all the member federations to share their activities and achievements with Asia and the world.
After the meeting, the Steering Committee members were invited to visit sport facilities in Macau, most of the stadiums were build during the East Asia Games, which met the international standard. Therefore, Macau University Sports Association showed more intention to host AUSF events in the future.
