KELME 2018 AUSF Football Cup: BIT won out the seats for quaterfinals 02 Nov 2018 | in Football

Jinjiang, China- on Nov. 2nd night, Beijing University of Technology (BIT) won American University in the Emirates (AUE) with the final score 1-0 in a men’s group eye-catching match, which secured aticket for BIT to make it to the quarterfinals.

In the first half, BIT has created number of opportunities in the offence efforts, but gaining nothing with a draw in the fist 45 minutes. In the meantime, AUE players for the most of the time has demonstrated a great unity in setting up a strong defense line, making a excellence performance for both teams.

In the second half, BIT enhanced their offence with stronger determination, pushing AUE to be engaged in tough defense for a long time. Their efforts eventually was rewarded, when player Number 9, Huang Yiof BIT was pushed on the ground by the AUE No 1 player, SobhiYassein, the goalkeeper.The referee gave the penalty kick immediately without hesitation, which enabled the BIT star player, Li Sichen scored the only goal in the whole match, even though UAE attempted to make a comeback by putting more efforts in their offence.

In the after-match conference, the AUE coach was very disappointed by the final result, attributing the loss to unable to adjusting themselves to the new environment. While, the BIT coach praised the efforts and sportsmanship of all the players, saying that they are still fightig for the goal of  ranking first in the group match. The twin players from BIT appreciated the spectators support in the after-match interview. They said that the team was very impressed and encouraged by the warmth and faithfulness of the spectators, empowering the whole team to fight with determination to win the game.

   

It is said that the AUE men’s team, consisting of players from different countries has been ranking first in their National University Football League in the last two years. BIT has also been dominating the Chinese Super Football University League for a long time.
