Education Workshop 09 May 2019 | in AUSF-NUSF Workshop

Kinmen, Chinese Taipei- On May 9th, Education Committee of AUSF held a workshop for 5th Asia University 3X3 Basketball Championship, which was organized by the Chair Ching-yu TSENG. The primary purpose was to promote academic exchanges and gave athletes the opportunities to learn more about different knowledge of sports.

The workshop invited two speakers, who are Shousen XU (Capital University of Physical Education and Sports) and Huang Xing (Institute of Sports Nutrition and Rehabilitation, Capital University of Physical Education and Sport). 2 topics was delivered during the workshop, “the Revolution of Psychological Skill training and Physiological Characteristics of 3X3 Basketball Players and Relevant Winning Strategies”. Nearly 70 participations attended the event.

      

Moreover, the response of the lecture was quite enthusiastic. Wai-kit CHEUNG, the coach from team HKG, said this is the very first workshop with both players and coaches that he has ever attended. “It offers lots of information, especially sports science as well as psychological knowledge, which are practical during the competition.”  

Chinese Culture University (CCU) thought the first experience of the workshop is novel. “Sports science can be applied on the basketball court including recording, instrument measurement, and data analysis, helping us to understand our disadvantages.”  

The two China lecturers Huang Xing, Xu Shousen are glad that the organizing committee is aware of the importance of holding this workshop. They believe it is vital and useful for all players and coaches, not only in 3X3 basketball but promoting the interaction between Asian youngsters.
