2020 AUC Chess Day 2 | Iran player grabs solo lead 17 Dec 2020 | in Chess

Kiana Arab, 20, of Iran grabs solo lead with 5-1/2 points after six rounds of the 2020 Asian University Chess Championship - Women Category at chess.com. The last three rounds for women will start at 9:00 AM GMT+4 on 17th December.

Two Mongolians share second slot with 5 points each, namely WFM Naran-Erdene Naranbaatar and FM Khula Enkhsaikhan. Trailing with 4-1/2 points each are Muratova Anel of Kazakhstan and WIM Nur Abidah Shanti of Indonesia.

Kiana Arab, a third year Engineering student, had a winning streak in her first five rounds starting with a walk over Musaeva Shakhnazi of Kyrgyzstan, then beating Nomindalai Tumurbaatar of Mongolia, WIM Ummi Fisabilillah of Indonesia, WIM Azhar Puteri Munajjah Az-Zahraa of Malaysia and WFM Naran-Erdene Naranbaatar of Mongolia. Kaina drew with WIM Nur Abihah Shanti of Indonesia in the sixth round to grab solo lead with 5-1/2 points.
