On January 30, the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, scheduled to open on 18 August, are only 200 days away. The sports flame will soon burn up over the main stadium of Chengdu Dong'an Lake Sports Park. To mark the occasion, the organisers have launched a new YouTube channel, which features entries for the official song contest.

The preparation of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games is in full swing. The construction of 49 training venues has been completed by April, 2020. Chengdu has invested RMB 18 billion in building sports facilities in the past three years. The spectacular Chengdu Dong'an Lake Sports Park has been completed, presenting the overall architectural form of "one stadium with three gyms". At present, the builders are making final preparations for the venue's commissioning test.

The World University Games Athletes Village, launched in April 2019, and actually started the construction in August 2019, now  is about to be completed in less than two years. As the residence of participating delegations during the Games, the Athletes Village is composed of the International Education Exchange Center, Administrative Support Center, Service Center, athletes apartments, swimming pool and other facilities, which has reached the standard for initial test after 16 months of construction.
