The fourth AUSF Executive Committee Meeting held successfully 03 Nov 2021 | in Executive Committee Meeting

With just 3 weeks away from the coming General Assembly of AUSF, Executive Committee members met online on 3rd November, to review the preparation work for the GA, discuss on the AUSF projects 2022, and plan for the celebration of AUSF 30 years’ anniversary.

The session started by the welcome speech delivered by President Xue, who praised the achievements AUSF made since the last meeting, and encouraged members to get well prepared for wrapping up this year and work out plans for the new year.

In the following Secretary General’s report by Mr. Kenny Chow, it is highlighted that the last three months have witnessed intensive delivery of AUSF events, 2021 Asian University Chess Championship, 3rd Asian University Cheerleading Championship and AUSF Run Challenge 2021 all concluding successfully, thanks to the joint efforts of Organizing Committees, Asian Federations and AUSF. With the experience accumulated of the last year, the number of events and rate of participation have both increased in the context of ongoing health crisis, which is further explained in the details of the respective final reports made by Mr. Purna and Dr. Jargal, as CISCA chairs.

As of today, 28 members have submitted the official mandates for the General Assembly before the deadline. It is decided that during the General Assembly, the following Organizing Committees of 2022 events, namely, 3 on 3 Basketball, Rugby 7s, Archery, Men’s Basketball, and Football will be invited to make the progress reports. Right after the General Assembly, the FISU-NUSFs Seminar will be held online 1-2 December, with the theme “Sustainable and Inclusive NUSFs”, all the member federations are welcome to join the event.

It is exciting that next year comes the time to mark the 30 anniversary of AUSF, not only a festival for the whole AUSF family, but also a milestone in the course of Asian university sports development. The detailed plan for the celebration has been adopted, which will be undertaken and implemented by the Working Group led by Secretary General, Kenny Chow. “We will take advantage of this opportunity to honor the glorious achievements with all AUSF family and draw up the blueprint for the future of AUSF”, concluded by president XUE Yanqing.
