On September 6, AUSF Executive Committee members met online to discuss the AUSF events 2022 and the 30 years anniversary of AUSF.

President XUE opened the meeting and welcomed Mr. Leonz Eder, FISU Acting President, who shared FISU events update, and said in his short speech, “AUSF has been one of leading continental university federations and made huge contribution to international university sports movement. I hope more member federations from AUSF would participate in the FISU events gradually resumed amid the pandemic”. In response, President XUE commended FISU’s support and Mr. Eder’s consistent efforts in building up the close ties between FISU and AUSF.

The meeting received reports of Secretary General, Treasurer, and working committees on AUSF 30th Anniversary. “This year also marks the 30th anniversary of AUSF, it is high time for the whole AUSF family to go into action by participating in the Run Challenge and other individual activities hosted by our member federations”, underlined President XUE.

The preparation of Asia-Oceania Chess Championship to be held from17 to 23 December is well underway, which is hosted by Iran University Sports Federation, in cooperation with Asian Chess Federation. The submission of General Entry form is about to be due on 17 September. It is hoped more players representing more member federations would enter into the Championship to promote representativeness and competition level of this event

Next Executive Committee meeting will be held on 17 November 2022.
