Shanghai University of Engineering Science, the host university of the 18th FISU World University Championship Futsal produced special video clips to present a panoramic view of the school campus, some venues will be used for the coming futsal event. Other universities, such as Tianjin University, Hebei Medical University, Henan Normal University, Hebei University of Engineering, and Southwest Jiaotong University were also among the universities which prepared videos, hoping to capture the beauty of the landmark buildings in their school campuses, and record their smiling faces, steady steps and their voices of support to the celebration.

“I thought I couldn’t finish my share of 3 kilometers running at the beginning, but still decided to challenge myself. When I finally made it together with the rest of my teammates, we were all very proud of ourselves. We will keep running to keep health and enrich our school life”, said Ms. WEI Chunyun from Tianjing University.

“We all felt the benefits in person by participating in the running, such as building up our health, easing our pressure from the academic study, strengthen our team spirit, reflected by Ms. LIU Shulin from Tianjin University after the event.

Meanwhile, Federation of University Sports China (FUSC) also organized the running within the Secretariat, setting an example for the others to do sports and love sports. Dr. LIU Lixin, Secretary General of Joint Secretariat of Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and Federation of School Sports of China (FSSC), said that school sports, as a key part of the education, play an important role in cultivating the young generation to be excellent in mind and body. He encouraged all involved in university sports, starting from the celebration, to motivate more young people to step outdoors to the field of play, help them to enjoy the fun of sports, enhance the physical strength, develop a sound character, strengthen the willpower in the due course. As Leonz Eder, FISU Acting President remarked, “Let us not only think of sport and do sport on this special day, but let us take this unifying day as an opportunity to strive for and implement sport and exercise daily, to let it become part of everyday life on campus and in our routines”. FUSC shares with the same conception of the Acting President and will commit itself to organizing more sports activities targeting not only elite athletes but also with non-athletes in a hope to turn sports exercise into everyday habits.
