On 22 February, AUSF Executive Committee members met for the first time via ZOOM platform at the beginning of the year 2023. It focused on making further plans based on the updates on the12th General Assembly Session II, as well as discussing the AUSF events calendar.
It has been more than four years since member federations last met face to face in Malaysia in 2018. This onsite meeting is much anticipated among member federations, where a new board will be elected and critical issues will be further discussed personally in the due course.
The meeting was opened with President XUE’s greetings and congratulation on the outstanding performances of member federations, including Team Japan and Team Korea, Team Kazakhstan, Team China, as well as the breakthroughs made by the Team Thailand in freestyle skiing during the past Lake Placid Winter World University games. It is highly appreciated that FISU created this wonderful platform for both athletes and officials against all odds.
Preparation for the 12th General Assembly Session II and 3rd FISU-AUSF Strategic Dialogue was later well discussed to ensure everything is well under way. “I look forward to meeting delegates from as many member federations as possible in Abu Dhabi UAE”, concluded by President XUE.
