AUSF and Shanghai University of Sport Launch Pioneering Network to Unite Asian University Sports 24 Aug 2025 | in Executive Committee Meeting

Hangzhou, ChinaThe Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF) and Shanghai University of Sport (SUS) have embarked on a transformative journey with the establishment of the Asian University Sports Research and Information Network Project (AUSRIN Project), formally signed today during the AUSF Executive Committee Meeting in Hangzhou, CHINA. Spearheaded by AUSF President LIU Lixin and SUS President Mao Lijuan, this visionary initiative redefines collaboration across Asia’s academic sports community by weaving digital innovation into the fabric of athletic excellence and cultural exchange.

Positioned as the continent’s intellectual nexus for university sports, AUSRIN Project transcends traditional boundaries to create a living ecosystem where data, research, and human potential converge. By harnessing cutting-edge technologies and SUS's academic leadership, the project will amplify Asia's collective voice in global sports discourse, turning isolated achievements into shared legacies. It promises to catalyze policy innovation through evidence-based insights, cultivate future leaders via cross-border mentorship, and celebrate cultural diversity through sport - all while building an open platform where every National University Sports Federation contributes to a unified vision of progress.

Slated for full operation in early 2026, the network stands as a testament to AUSF’s unwavering commitment to elevating university sports as a force for regional unity and global impact.
