AUSF Executive Committee Meeting Concludes Successfully in Hangzhou 24 Aug 2025 | in Executive Committee Meeting

Hangzhou, China - The Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF) Executive Committee Meeting was held from August 23 to 24, 2025, in Hangzhou. The meeting served as a significant platform for reviewing progress and shaping the future direction of university sports in Asia. The successful organization of the meeting was made possible with the strong support of Zhejiang University.

 

During the one and a half-day session, the Executive Committee received and reviewed key reports, including those from the Secretary General and the Treasurer. Comprehensive updates were also presented on the preparation status of various AUSF sports events and activities scheduled for the second half of 2025 and throughout 2026.

A major outcome of the meeting was the discussion and in-principle approval of the AUSF Strategic Development Plan for 2025-2027 and proposed amendments to the AUSF Constitution. These decisions are set to provide a clear framework and enhanced standardization for the organization's growth in the coming years.

Furthermore, reports from the IT Commission and the Media Commission were delivered and unanimously endorsed by the Executive Committee. The IT Commission showcased developments in the new online registration system. The Media Committee reported on initiatives to establish a Student Media Committee, aimed at fostering greater youth involvement and media coverage.

The meeting also featured significant ceremonial moments. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between AUSF and the ASEAN University Sports Council (AUSC), strengthening regional cooperation. Additionally, AUSF entered into a cooperation agreement with Shanghai University of Sport for the AUSRIN Project (Asian University Sports Research and Information Network Project), an initiative designed to advance research and information sharing in Asian university sports.

Adding a celebratory conclusion to the proceedings, the AUSF Executive Committee members attended the finals of the Asian University Basketball League, which was held concurrently in Hangzhou, and presented awards to the winning teams.
